Dr. Burçak Ebin

Materials and Energy Division, Chalmers University of Technology
He completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at Istanbul Technical University between 2001 and 2014. Since 2014, he has been working at Chalmers University of Technology, where he currently holds the position of Senior Researcher with an Associate Professor tittle in the Materials and Energy Division. He also serves as the Director of the Competence Center Recycling at Chalmers.
Since 2024, he has been one of Sweden’s representatives in the International Energy Agency (IEA) Task 12 activities. His research focuses on the recycling of various waste streams, including solar cells, batteries, metallurgical residues, and other industrial wastes, as well as the production of energy-related materials. He has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed journal articles, contributed to one book chapter, and delivered numerous presentations at international conferences.
