Sinan Bozkurt was born in Ankara, Türkiye, in 1974. He graduated from the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Middle East Technical University (METU), where he also served as a Research Assistant between 1996 and 1997.
Mr. Bozkurt joined Erdemir in 1998 and has accumulated nearly three decades of experience across a broad range of functions within the integrated steel industry. Throughout his career, he has held key positions in customer technical services, quality control, research and development, hot rolling operations, and plant management, gaining extensive expertise in steel production, product quality, process optimization, and technological development.
Since October 2021, Mr. Bozkurt has served as Executive Vice President of Operations at Erdemir, where he is responsible for overseeing the company’s operational excellence initiatives, production performance, technological transformation, sustainability efforts, and strategic growth programs. In this role, he leads multidisciplinary teams across major manufacturing and support functions, contributing to the competitiveness and long-term development of one of the region’s leading steel producers.
Beyond his executive responsibilities, Mr. Bozkurt is deeply committed to people development and leadership. As a certified coach, he has mentored and coached young professionals, working directly with eleven mentees to support their professional and personal growth. He is passionate about creating positive impact through leadership, lifelong learning, and knowledge sharing.
