Mehmet Fatih Gökçe is a metallurgical engineer and sustainability leader with over 25 years of experience in the steel industry. He began his career in the design, optimization and commissioning of electric arc furnaces (EAF) and ladle furnaces, delivering more than 30 projects across Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East, and has since directed his focus toward decarbonization, green transformation. He currently serves as Chief Sustainability Officer at Diler Iron & Steel, where he developed and implemented the company's decarbonization roadmap in line with the CBAM and TR -ETS, and led the TÜV SÜD Veristeel verification. He also sits on the Board of Marzinc, an EAF dust-recycling joint venture. Besides, A recipient of the Hunt Kelly Best Paper Award (AISTECH 2021), he holds M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Metallurgical Engineering from Yıldız Technical University and is fluent in English, German.
